The Stakes are Raised, Ben Askren Joins Episode 6 of ‘The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition’

Last week, ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong revealed that the winner of the show will not only receive a US $250,000 job offer to work as his protege in business, but also be named ONE’s Chief of Staff.

In all aspects, it appears that the “toughest” Apprentice in history is building up to an epic second half.

In the week’s episode, former ONE Welterweight World Champion Ben “Funky” Askren returns to Singapore, to stand alongside reigning ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera to quiz candidates through a spin-the-wheel trivia game.

Also making an appearance as Guest Judge is Everise CEO, Sudhir Agarwal, who sat beside Sityodtong and his Adviser, Niharika Singh, in the boardroom to grill the teams on their pitches.

Askren is one of the most dominant world champions in ONE Championship history. A former US Olympian, Askren defended his ONE World Title four times during his time in the Circle from 2014 to 2017, dominating his opponents with his world-class wrestling skills, an incredible top game, and a “funky” fighting style unique to the ultra-talented American.

ONE Championship returns with “ONE on TNT III,” the third of a four-part event series which airs on Wed., April 21 (Thu., April 22 in Asia). The main event features a showdown between #1-ranked bantamweight contender John “Hands of Stone” Lineker and Troy “Pretty Boy” Worthen.

The “ONE on TNT” series airs every Wednesday in April in the United States for four weeks.

Athletes appearing on the show include former ONE Welterweight World Champion Ben Askren, ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon Vera, ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee, ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Champion Demetrious Johnson, Indian Wrestling Champion Ritu Phogat, and ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion Xiong Jing Nan, among others.
