Henry Slade has emerged as England's latest injury concern ahead of the Six Nations.

The centre did not travel with the squad for a training camp in Portugal after damaging his shoulder during Exeter Chiefs' European Champions Cup defeat at Glasgow Warriors on Saturday.

Slade will remain with the Chiefs for further assessment and could face a battle to be fit for the defending champions' clash with Italy in Rome a week on Sunday.

"Henry Slade has not travelled to Portugal for England's training camp and will remain with @ExeterChiefs for further assessment on a shoulder injury." the Rugby Football Union tweeted.

Billy Vunipola, Elliot Daly, James Haskell and Nathan Hughes are among the England players to have been struck by injuries prior to the Six Nations.
