The Rockets may want to add a wing player.
Houston would be interested in signing Wesley Matthews if he receives a buyout from the Knicks, according to a report from ESPN, which cites unidentified league sources. The 32-year-old was reportedly sent to New York on Wednesday as part of the Kristaps Porzingis trade.

Matthews is in the final season of the four-year, $64 million deal he signed with Dallas in July 2015.

The 10-year veteran is averaging 13.1 points and 2.3 assists in 29.8 minutes per game this season. He’s shooting 41.4 percent from the field and 38 percent from 3-point range.
The Rockets will face the Nuggets in Denver on Friday. They’ll enter that matchup with a 29-21 record.
Meanwhile, the Knicks have been one of the worst teams in the NBA this season and currently stand at 10-40.
