The Predators will get a welcome addition Tuesday when defenseman Ryan Ellis makes his season debut on the road against the Golden Knights.

Ellis, who set career highs with 16 goals and 38 points last season, missed the team’s first 38 games as he rehabbed from offseason knee surgery.

Nashville (23-10-5) placed leading scorer Filip Forsberg on injured reserve Saturday with an upper-body injury, clearing a roster spot for Ellis’ return.
