The final round of the 2017 Players Championship needed a spark Sunday, and Rafa Cabrera Bello provided it.
Cabrera Bello recorded the first-ever albatross (a two on a par 5) on the 16th hole when his second shot careened off a bunker and rolled into the hole.

It was just the third albatross in Players Championship history.
Cabrera Bello went from 2 under to 5 under with the shot, which vaulted him back into the top 10.
A breakout star last year, Cabrera Bello was a member of the European Ryder Cup team last fall. He normally plays on the European Tour, but he is enjoying American soil this week.
Whether you call it an albatross or a double-eagle, it's a rare feat to accomplish, and Cabrera Bello will likely never forget his magical shot.
