Oklahoma State guard Jeffrey Carroll cleared to play

Oklahoma State guard Jeffrey Carroll has been cleared to play ahead of Monday night's Legends Classic matchup against Texas A&M in Brooklyn.

Carroll, a senior, averaged 17.5 points and 6.6 rebounds last season, which earned him a preseason All-Big 12 selection. He was held out of the Cowboys' first three games due to an ongoing review of Oklahoma State's basketball program. Former Cowboys assistant Lamont Evans was one of four NCAA assistant coaches indicted in a federal corruption probe of college basketball recruiting practices.

The Cowboys (3-0) have been explosive on the offensive end this season, scoring no less than 78 points in their three wins. Carroll, an athletic wing, shot 44 percent from 3-point range last season.

Texas A&M also gets some added support to its lineup Monday, with star sophomore Robert Williams back in action after a two-game suspension by the school. Williams was a possible lottery pick in this year's NBA draft, but chose to return to the Aggies.
