Nurse hails 76ers response to losing streak after Cavs win
Philadelphia 76ers coach Nick Nurse hailed "a good bounce back" by his side, as they snapped their losing streak with a hard-earned win over the high-flying Cleveland Cavaliers.
The 76ers ended a run of seven straight defeats after prevailing 132-129 against the NBA leaders at Wells Fargo Center.
Despite the absence of injured star center Joel Embiid for a 10th straight game, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey combined for 59 points for the hosts, who responded well to a commanding 144-109 loss to the Denver Nuggets last time out.
"It's a good bounce back," Nurse said. "Sometimes, those games happen. I said at the time, I didn't think it was an indication of how we were playing as a team.
"The players responded. They practised good yesterday, they prepared great tonight, and they played really well. Everybody contributed tonight – all the guys that played made a contribution."

Maxey echoed his coach's sentiment, saying: "We've been playing the right way, other than [against] Denver. They came out and punched us in the mouth, and we couldn't recover.
"Other than that, every single team that we've played, we've been in the game late and just couldn't close it out. Tonight, we closed it out and that was good for us."
Maxey also paid tribute to Kelly Oubre Jr, who delighted the home fans as he chipped in with 22 points, 13 rebounds and three steals.
"He does a good job. He found a home here," he added. "The crowd feeds off of him. He does a really good job of pumping the crowd up, keeping them engaged, and it keeps him engaged as well.
"Defensively, he goes out there and blocks shots, plays hard and makes all the energy plays while being himself as well."
