David Lee won't be able to help save San Antonio's playoff run.

The Spurs forward has been diagnosed with a partially torn patellar tendon in his left knee after exiting Saturday's Game 3 loss to the Warriors, ESPN reported Sunday.

According to the report, Lee will undergo an MRI on Sunday to confirm the severity of the injury and get an estimated timetable for his recovery.

Lee suffered the injury late in the first quarter of the team's 120-108 loss after scoring on a layup contested by Warriors forward Draymond Green, who drew a foul on the basket. After being unable to attempt his free throw, Lee was assisted to the locker room by athletic trainers in a wheelchair and did not return.

Lee, 34, averaged 7.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game in the regular season, though his numbers are slightly down to 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in the postseason.

The Warriors hold a 3-0 series lead over the Spurs in the Western Conference Finals after setting an NBA record with 11 straight wins to start the postseason.
