Luka Doncic scored 32 points, LeBron James added 31 and the Los Angeles Lakers extended their winning streak to eight games by overcoming a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter and defeating the New York Knicks 113-109 in overtime Thursday night.

Doncic, who also had 12 assists and eight rebounds, had five points in overtime as the Lakers improved to 9-2 since he made his LA debut on Feb. 10.

James scored the Lakers' final four points, all at the foul line, and finished with 12 rebounds and eight assists for Los Angeles.

Knicks star Jalen Brunson was injured on a drive in overtime, twisting his right ankle and foot as he crashed to the floor after contact with Austin Reaves and with James close behind. Reaves was called for a foul after a review, and Brunson made both free throws before limping off after the Knicks intentionally fouled to stop the clock.

Brunson had 39 points and 10 assists.

The game was tied at 107 before Jaxson Hayes made a pair of free throws with 59.7 seconds remaining to put the Lakers on top for good. James then made a pair of foul shots to put Los Angeles up by four after Karl Anthony-Towns was called for a loose ball foul after Miles McBride missed a jumper.

New York has the league's fifth-best record at 40-22, but is 0-9 against Cleveland, Oklahoma City, Boston and the Lakers, the four teams ahead of them.

Los Angeles trailed 90-80 with 6:57 remaining before going on a 19-6 run to take its first lead since early in the second quarter. Gabe Vincent’s 3-pointer with 1:21 remaining gave the Lakers a 99-96 advantage before the Knicks evened it at 99 on Brunson’s three-point play.

New York had a chance to send it to overtime, but Josh Hart couldn’t get a shot off in the lane as time expired.

Curry keeps Warriors surging

Stephen Curry scored 40 points, with a turnaround heave from just inside halfcourt among his seven 3-pointers, and the Golden State Warriors climbed out of a 22-point hole to beat the Brooklyn Nets 121-119.

Jimmy Butler added 25 points for the Warriors, who finished 4-1 on their road trip despite falling behind 27-5. They rallied from at least 20 down to win for the third time this season.

Golden State is 10-2 since Butler entered the lineup on Feb. 8 in Chicago. The Warriors erased a 24-point deficit in that game, their biggest comeback of the season.

Cam Johnson scored 26 points and Cam Thomas had 23 for the Nets, who lost their sixth straight.

The Nets made 10 of their first 11 shots and raced to a 27-5 lead and led much of the game before Golden State surged ahead in the fourth quarter.

The final basket of the first half was unbelievable even by Curry's standards. He took a pass from Butler with his feet inside the Nets' midcourt logo, turned and flung a shot that dropped in, officially from 38 feet. Curry started running toward the locker room after he threw it up and was already off the court with 0.3 seconds still on the clock.

The announced attendance of 18,413 was a record for a Nets game at Barclays Center, which opened in 2012.

White’s career game helps Bulls win

Coby White poured in a career-high 44 points and the Chicago Bulls rallied for a 125-123 victory over the reeling Orlando Magic 125-123.

White was 7 of 15 from 3-point range and scored Chicago’s last nine points on two layups, a dunk and a 3-pointer.

Josh Giddy added 19 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists, and Tre Jones had 20 points as the injury-depleted Bulls came from a nine-point fourth-quarter deficit.

Paolo Banchero and Cole Anthony scored 20 points each for Orlando, which lost its fifth straight and completed a 1-6 homestand, with the last three losses coming against losing teams.

Jones and White had steals 28 seconds apart, and White converted one of them into a 3-pointer with 2:18 left to give Chicago a 123-121 lead.
