Safety crews at Kansas Speedway had to peel back the front windshield of Aric Almirola's car and help him from his vehicle after a fiery wreck late in the Go Bowling 400. 

Almirola was conscious and speaking with safety crews as he was placed on a backboard and taken via helicopter to a local hospital for further evaluation. The extent of his injuries are not yet known. 

Joey Logano appeared to get loose after a right-front issue with 68 laps remaining and got into the right rear of Danica Patrick's car, sending her into the wall. Logano then got smashed again by Almirola, who was apparently unable to swerve away from the wreck in front of him.
