Mohamed Bamba sets NBA Combine record with freakish wingspan
NBA Draft prospect Mohamed Bamba is a big guy.
The former Texas Longhorns star enters this year's NBA Draft as a potential top-5 pick, and he helped his cause with some eye-popping measurables at the draft combine in Chicago.
Bamba broke the combine record with a 7-foot-10 wingspan. He also measured in at just under 7-1 with shoes on. Though his offensive game proved raw during his one season at Texas, he dominated on defense.

Bamba also measured in with the longest standing reach (9 feet, 7 1/2 inches) out of anyone in the draft class. Though marked as a center, he weighed in at only 226 pounds, meaning he likely will spend most of his time in the NBA as a power forward.
