South Africa have announced that Aiden Markram will captain the side for the remainder of the ODI series against India.
The Proteas have lost regular skipper Faf du Plessis to a finger injury, while former incumbent AB de Villiers is out for at least the second and third instalments of the six-match contest, also with a finger problem.

Markram has just two ODIs under his belt - including the six-wicket defeat in the series opener on Thursday - but his appointment has seemingly been taken with a long-term view ahead of next year's World Cup and beyond.
"We're aware Markram is new to the setup but he's always been part of our plans since his U-19 [captaincy]," said Cricket South Africa. "We want to have a pool of leaders."
Markram's first game in charge comes at Centurion on Sunday, when the Proteas will hope to level the series at 1-1.
