Markieff Morris injury update: Wizards forward to miss 6 weeks with neck issue
The Wizards will be without forward Markieff Morris for at least six weeks as he battles a neck and upper-back injury, the team announced Thursday.

Morris has been dealing with pain in his neck and upper-back stiffness after he was hit on the chin during the Wizards' game against the Lakers on Dec. 16. He appeared to re-aggravate the injury Dec. 26 during the team's 106-95 loss to the Pistons.
The 29-year-old forward recently saw a specialist at The Carrell Clinic in Dallas, Texas, and was diagnosed with transient cervical neuropraxia. He will be limited to non-contact basketball activities for six weeks, and then is expected to be cleared to return fully.

Morris, who is in his fourth season with Washington, has averaged 11.5 points and 5.1 rebounds in 34 games this year.
