Malaysia Sailing Team and Athletes for Olympics 2024

Nur Shazrin Mohamad Latif – ILCA6

This will be the Johorean’s 3rd appearance at the Olympics, having finished 33rd in the One Person Dinghy (Laser Radial) event in 2016, and then 26th in the Laser Radial Women event in the Tokyo Olympics.

She recently won a gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games for the Women’s ILCA6.

Khairulnizam Mohd Afendy – ILCA7

An Olympic veteran, the Kedah-born sailor will become the second Malaysian sailor to compete in four Olympics after Dr Kevin Lim (From 1996 to 2008).

He ranked 47th in the London 2012 Olympics in the One Person Dinghy (Laser) event, further improving in the same event in 2016 to 35th. In the most recent edition of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he ranked 28th in the Laser Men event.
