Malaysia nearing Asian Para Games gold medal target
Malaysia grabbed four more gold medals on the sixth day of the 2018 Asian Para Games as they edged closer to achieving their target of 15 gold medals in Indonesia.
One of the four gold medals won on Thursday was contributed by national Paralympic champion Ridzuan Puzi in the T36 long jump, which also broke the Asian record with a jump of 5.49m.
Earlier, national para-cyclist Nur Azlia Syafinaz Mohd Zais bagged the first gold medal of the day for Malaysia in the 3km women's individual pursuit at the Jakarta International Velodrom.BREAKING: Ridzuan Puzi telah memenangi Pingat Emas dalam acara Long Jump Men T36 dengan lompatan sejauh 5.49m. Malaysia's para-cyclists also won two silver medals in the 4000m pursuit through Khairul Hazwan, and C 1-5 team sprint event.

The second gold medal was won by the national bowling team in the TPB8+TPB8/9+TPB9/10 mixed trios team event, while the third gold came from swimmer Nur Saiful in the S5 50m freestyle event.
In the athletics event, long jumper Wong Kar Gee won a silver medal for the T12 men's category.
In total, Malaysia had 13 gold, 18 silver and 19 bronze medals to occupy the eighth place on the medal tally table.
Malaysia are taking part in 15 of 18 sports events this year and targeting to win 15 gold medals, equalling the achievement at the 2014 Asian Para Games in Incheon, South Korea.
