John Daly wins first tournament in 13 years on PGA Champions Tour
John Daly had not won a PGA tournament since 2004. He was back atop the leaderboard Sunday.
The 51-year-old Daly won for the first time on the PGA Champions Tour, finishing first at the Insperity Invitational at the Woodlands in Texas.
Daly shot a 3-under 69 on Sunday to finish 14 under for the tournament, one shot clear of both Tommy Armour III and Kenny Perry.

The last time Daly won a tournament was the 2004 Buick Invitational while on the PGA Tour. He entered Sunday as the leader for the first time since 2005, when he led the the 2005 WGC-American Express Championship at TPC Harding Park entering Sunday, but ultimately lost a playoff to Tiger Woods.
Daly played beautifully and even opened the round with an eagle.

And, of course, he celebrated his victory only the way John Daly would — with a shower of beer and Champagne.
