Malaysian martial arts sensation Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan is considered one of the top female talents in global martial arts organization, ONE Championship.

The rising young star brandishes the pride of Malaysia everytime she steps into the ONE Circle, and she couldn’t be more proud to represent her home country on the biggest stage of competition in the world.

The former MIMMA Women’s Champion also says it has been a realization of her life goals to compete among the best in her sport.

“When I was still a kid, I always dreamed of one day being able to fly the Jalur Gemilang around my shoulders,” said Jihin.

“Today, I’m grateful to be able to do that on the world stage, witnessed by millions of people around the world. I am really honored and proud to represent Malaysia, it’s a childhood dream come true.”

Getting to represent Malaysia and don the flag every time she is scheduled to compete, Jihin knows how important it is to show the world the Malaysian spirit – not just in the Circle, but also outside of it.

On this Merdeka Day 2020, celebrating Malaysia and its people, Jihin describes what it is to be truly Malaysian.

“Being truly Malaysian means being full of passion and hope in life, and always seeking self-improvement,” said Jihin.

“It’s about caring and being respectful to each other. I am so proud to be Malaysian.”

ONE Championship announced a partnership with food delivery service, Foodpanda, earlier this year. The two companies are working together on a variety of initiatives and activations, aimed at bringing fans closer to their favorite Malaysian athletes.

Jihin has been tapped as part of this initiative, to become a champion for proper nutrition, and to satisfy cravings through the popular food delivery app. “Shadow Cat” explains the important role Foodpanda plays in Malaysian society, especially on Merdeka Day.

“Foodpanda definitely saves us a lot of time, because we can enjoy the best of Malaysian cuisine at our fingertips. We can order all the good Malaysian food we love and have it sent right to our doorsteps. It’s so convenient and gives us more time to spend doing other things we love,” said Jihin.

“There are so many amazing things to do on Merdeka Day, like watch the Merdeka Street March, or performances by the Malaysian Air Force on TV. We also love to go on hikes with family and friends. I rarely have time to spend with family because I’m studying and training, and run a business. So Merdeka Day is always something I look forward to.”

Jihin continues to work hard to reach her goals. As the world deals with Covid-19, Jihin, like many others, has spent the majority of her time indoors and practicing social distancing, all while waiting on news of when she will be able to compete again. Given the improving situation in Malaysia, that day may come soon.

In the meantime, having good, nutritious Malaysian food through Foodpanda is, at the very least, one less thing to worry about.

“I am a regular Foodpanda user. It’s just so easy to get your authentic favorites quickly and efficiently. I recommend everyone to try it out,” she concluded.
