Jamal Adams traded to Seahawks in deal that nets Jets two first-rounders
The Seattle Seahawks have given up two first-round draft picks as part of the trade to acquire All-Pro safety Jamal Adams from the New York Jets.
Seattle confirmed the blockbuster trade on Saturday, with the Jets getting first-rounders in 2021 and 2022, a third-round selection in 2021 and safety Bradley McDougald, with a fourth-rounder in 2022 heading in the Seahawks' direction.
It is a significant haul to give up for Adams, who has been named to a pair of Pro Bowls in his first three seasons in the NFL since being drafted sixth overall by the Jets in 2017.

Jets general manager Joe Douglas had previously said he wanted to make Adams "a Jet for life", but rumours of a possible trade to the Dallas Cowboys in October soured his relationship with the franchise.
Recently Adams, who is under contract through 2022, had expressed frustration at the lack of contract talks with the Jets and he requested a trade last month.
On Friday, the 24-year-old conducted an interview with the New York Daily News in which he suggested head coach Adam Gase was not "the right leader" for the Jets, with Adams also taking shots at Douglas over his unwillingness to offer the safety a lucrative contract.

"I want to win," Adams had said in the interview. "I want to be with an organisation that wants to win and do things the right way."
A day later, he got his wish, joining a Seahawks team that has been to the playoffs in seven of the previous eight campaigns.
Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson welcomed Adams to his new team, writing on Twitter: "Let's get it!!! @Prez".
However, one of Adams' old Jets colleagues appeared to take aim at the new Seahawks safety on his social media account.
Running back Le'Veon Bell, who Adams actively recruited during free agency last year, did not reference the defensive back directly but said: "ppl do all the hootin & hollerin to get you brought in, just to leave...lol like people weird yooo, the internet got these dudes doin whatever for attention, even when they tell you s*** they don’t believe themselves."
