Alabama freshman John Petty broke a single-game school 3-point record Friday during a 104-67 win over Alabama A&M.

Petty, who entered Alabama as the No. 32-ranked prospect in the Class of 2017, via 247 Sports Composite, hit 10 of 13 from beyond the arc, scoring all 30 of his points from deep.

Petty was one of two highly-touted recruits to pick Alabama this year. Five-star guard and McDonald's All-American Collin Sexton, recently deemed eligible, scored 25 points Friday night.

The Crimson Tide (3-0) have the offensive firepower to make some noise in the SEC this season.
