Melaka put their 2019 Malaysia Premier Futsal League (MPFL) campaign right back on track on Sunday with a 2-0 win over KL City at the Panasonic Shah Alam Sports Complex.

Tarmizi Ghafar broke the deadlock for the champions of the now-defunct National Futsal League, who had lost their opening match to league leaders Selangor a few days earlier, towards the end of the first half after he was found unmarked just outside the penalty arc.
Danial Dain then blasted an effort past a flat-footed K. Dinesh five minutes into the second half to seal the win.
The result extended KL City's losing run to three games since the start of the season and left them at the bottom of the league table.
Just above them were Perak, who lost 4-3 to Kuala Lumpur on the same day.
The Silver State, winless in three straight games, had taken the lead through an own goal by Shafiq Tahir, but Kamilul Shahidin's free-kick and Azim Mohammad's tap-in within final 30 seconds of the first half turned the game.
Kamilul struck another free-kick in the 33rd minute to extend KL's lead before the game headed to an exciting finish with goals from KL's Mulhim Muqri and Perak's Wan Norhisyam and Ridzwan Bakri in the last seven minutes of action.
On Saturday, Akil Khalis' hat-trick helped Terengganu clinch a 3-1 home win against Penang at the Kuala Terengganu Stadium, while a scheduled match between Selangor and Pahang was postponed to observe the 40th day since the passing of the late Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah.
