Devils' Taylor Hall's point streak ends at 26 games

Taylor Hall's scoring streak has officially ended at 26 games.

The Devils' left winger failed to tally a goal or an assist for the first time in 2018 as the Jets shut him out in a 3-2 victory in New Jersey.

Hall got two shots off on goal on the night and had another few chances for assists, but Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck was solid all night.

The 27-year-old was held scoreless through the first 58 minutes of the game, but had one final chance with less than two minutes on the clock. His shot flew wide to the left though and his streak came to an end.

Hall joined Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane as the only two players to record a point in 26 straight games in the last 20 years. Had he been able to add a point Thursday, Hall would have tied NHL great Mario Lemieux for the longest streak since the 1995-96 season.
