Since 2011, martial arts fans have gotten to know the stories of mostly all the superstars in ONE Championship.

But they’ve never gotten to know the man who has brought them all together on the global stage ­– ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

At least not until now.

ONE Championship recently released a mini-documentary about the businessman who started both Evolve MMA and ONE Championship.

The documentary is called “The Chatri Sityodtong Story | Suffering, Sacrifice & Success” and can be viewed on ONE’s YouTube channel for free.

The story recounts the early life of Sityodtong in Thailand, where his father introduced him to Muay Thai and where he fell in love with martial arts.

But when his family was wiped out from the Asian Financial Crisis in 1997, his father left Sityodtong and his mom to fend for themselves.

Luckily, Sityodtong was accepted to Harvard Business School, and what followed was a journey of strength and sacrifice as the future ONE Chairman and CEO successfully went from Silicon Valley to Wall Street.

Despite building businesses and managing multimillion-dollar hedge funds, Sityodtong felt empty inside.

So he decided to stay true to his passion for martial arts and built both Evolve MMA and ONE Championship, which have allowed him to give back to those who have given so much of themselves.
