Coronavirus: Reds' Davidson contracts COVID-19 after playing MLB opener
Cincinnati Reds infielder Matt Davidson has been placed on the 10-day injured list after testing positive for coronavirus.
Davidson contracted COVID-19 after he was in Cincinnati's starting line-up as a designated hitter during Friday's MLB opener against the Detroit Tigers.
The 29-year-old was 0-for-four in the Reds' 7-1 win over the Tigers on Opening Day.
Davidson, who was added to Cincinnati's 30-man Opening Day roster, will require two negative tests at least 24 hours apart before he can be activated to play.
