JR Smith has agreed to pay a fan $600 after he threw his cell phone into a New York City construction site in July, ESPN.com reported.

The man was trying to take a picture of the Cavaliers player, who became unhappy and snatched the phone and threw it.

Smith received a ticket for misdemeanor criminal mischief and eventually reached a deal with the prosecution to pay the man back for his lost phone.

"We have reached dismissal in Cellphone-gate," Smith's lawyer, Alex Spiro, joked.

Smith was not in court when the deal was made, but will be due back Nov. 15 for arraignment.
