Let’s take a look at some of the most memorable submissions from these individuals throughout the years.

Agilan Bends The Elbow

Agilan “Alligator” Thani has used his grappling skills to power him to five submission wins, but the best of the lot came at ONE: VISIONS OF VICTORY in March 2018.

The Sentul native did not give Amitesh Chaubrey any room for to breathe. He took him down with a single leg before punishing his foe with a classic ground-and-pound attack.

In the second round, Agilan circled Chaubrey, landing a fast body kick and a lead hook to set up a takedown. From there, it was one-way traffic as “Alligator” finished his opponent with an Americana from side control at 1:04 of the second stanza.

Jihin Punishes “The Cyclone”

Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan introduced herself to Malaysia with a brilliant submission win during her debut in March 2018.

The Johor Bahru native pressured Puja “The Cyclone” Tomar from the opening bell, connecting with strikes and then pinning her with a belly-to-belly takedown.

Tomar survived and came out stronger in the second round. She showed her stand-up repertoire and dropped Jihin with a sidekick and followed up with ground strikes.

However, the Ultimate MMA Academy standout turned the tables, forcing Tomar onto her back while sniffing for an armbar. The Indian wushu specialist tried to escape, but the “Shadow Cat” locked in a triangle choke to get the job done at 2:23 of round two.

Keanu’s Slick Moves Do The Job

Keanu Subba kept his 100 percent finishing rate in October 2018 intact against Myanmar’s Phoe Thaw.

The Monarchy MMA standout, who was coming off an armbar win, went for a takedown barely a minute into the bout. Phoe Thaw managed to break free but was swiftly taken down once again by the skillful Malaysian.

The 25-year-old did not waste time. He wrapped his arms around his opponent’s neck, and with a tight choke secured, forced Phoe Thaw to tap at 2:47 of the opening round.

Another Highlight-Reel Win For “E.T.”

Ev “E.T.” Ting took fans on a wild ride against Daichi Abe at ONE: MASTERS OF DESTINY in July 2019.

Both warriors fired on all cylinders in the opening round. Abe dropped Ting to the canvas on one occasion while Ting sent his rival to the ground with an overhand right.

The second round kicked off similarly as Ting and Abe traded heavy leather and kicks. Abe continued dictating the pace of the contest, but he was unable to land anything significant. “E.T.” then took control of the contest as he sent Abe to the ground with another overhand right.

The Japanese martial artist tried to stand, but the Auckland MMA standout quickly locked on a rear-naked choke to earn a much-needed win at 4:44 of the second round.
