Andre Roberson injury update: Thunder G (knee) still ‘not anywhere close to playing’
Andre Roberson will not be returning to the court anytime soon.
The 27-year-old Thunder guard has not played since he ruptured his left patellar tendon in January 2018. Roberson required an additional procedure before the season and suffered another setback during the rehab process in late November.
Thunder coach Billy Donovan told reporters Monday there’s still no timetable for Roberson’s return.

“He’s not anywhere near playing, so it’s not like I have any idea of when he’s coming back,” Donovan told reporters, via The Oklahoman. “He’s worked hard, he’s doing all he needs to do, but he’s still in the rehab process.”
Roberson, one of the NBA’s best perimeter defenders, has spent his entire career in Oklahoma City. The sixth-year veteran averaged five points and 4.7 rebounds in 39 games in 2017-18.
The Thunder enter play Monday with a 26-16 record and the best defensive rating in the NBA (102.9 points allowed per 100 possessions).
