Wolves teenager Hong Wan set to join JDT

English-Malaysian midfielder Nathaniel Shio Hong Wan is set to join Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The announcement for the 20-year-old, who is eligible to represent Malaysia through his Johor-born mother, was made on Thursday.

"JDT have reached an agreement to sign Malaysian heritage player Nathaniel Shio Hong Wan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

"The agreement is subject to a successful Malaysian citizenship application and will take place at the end of his current contract in June," said JDT technical director Alistair Edwards.

Wan, who began his football career at Yeovil Town, also had experience playing in Croatia for NK Varazdin.
