Two penalties from Hulk saw Shanghai SIPG salvage a 2-2 draw against Urawa Red Diamonds in their AFC Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday.

The Japanese side went ahead in the third minute, Tomoaki Makino tapping in from close range after goalkeeper Yan Junling fumbled Kazuki Nagasawa's free-kick.

Urawa doubled their advantage after 30 minutes when Shinzo Koroki latched onto Nagasawa's pass and slotted underneath Yan.

Hulk gave Shanghai hope for the second leg in three weeks, though, slotting home from the spot in the 49th and 71st minutes to restore parity – though the upright denied him a hat-trick in between.
