Barely days after the 2017 M-League season officially concluded, PJ Rangers began their preparation for next season's promotion challenge by signing Shreen Tambi, Nur Shamie Iszuan Amin and Tommy Mawat Bada from Sarawak.
Following the Crocs' relegation to the Malaysian Premier League, the young trio decided to link up with former national U-23 assistant coach Hassan Sazali Waras, who replaced Mat Zan Mat Aris, at the FAM League side.
"The arrival of Shreen Tambi, Shamie Iszuan and Tommy Mawat will definitely strengthen up the team in search for promotion next season," read an official statement.
Despite playing a division lower than their former team next year, they believe the move will be good for their respective careers.
"It is the best route for my own personal development and I want to overcome my weaknesses," Tommy told Astro Arena.
"I want to start from the bottom. God willing, we will become the champions and play in the Premier League," added Nur Shamie.
The Petaling Jaya outfit, who have been competed in the third tier of the M-League since 2015, narrowly missed out on promotion in the last two seasons after crashing out in the semi-finals of the promotion play-off stage on both occasions.
