Liverpool ended 2024 with a bang as Arne Slot's side stormed to a 5-0 Premier League win away at West Ham.
The Reds have now opened up an eight-point gap at the top of the table over Nottingham Forest, with rivals Chelsea and Arsenal both in action in the coming days.
Liverpool brushed the Hammers aside in ruthless style, with Luiz Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and substitute Diogo Jota all on target.
Salah continued his superb form on the road at the London Stadium with a goal and two assists, bringing his Premier League tally up to 17 and 13 respectively in both metrics.
He has been involved in 30 goals in just 18 Premier League games this season, the fewest appearances any player has needed to reach 30 goal involvements in a single campaign in the competition.
Salah has both scored and assisted in eight different Premier League games for Liverpool, already the most any player has done so in a single campaign in the competition.
The Egyptian has also scored 20+ goals in all competitions in all eight of his seasons with Liverpool.
Among Premier League players (since 1992-93), only Alan Shearer (10) and Harry Kane (nine) have had more 20+ goal campaigns than the Liverpool forward.
Despite the speculation over his future at Anfield, Salah is happy to lead Liverpool's title tilt in 2025, but he is taking nothing for granted at this stage of the campaign.
"The only thing on my mind is I want Liverpool to win the league and I want to be part of that," he told Sky Sports at full-time.
"I will do my best for the team to win the league trophy. There are a few other teams catching up with us, and we need to stay focused and humble and go again."
Salah's form will be critical to Liverpool's chances of securing their second-ever Premier League title in 2025.
However, he confirmed no progress has been made on an ongoing contract extension discussion, as he moves into the final six months of his current deal in January.
Liverpool now have the bonus of an extended break before their first game of 2025 against Manchester United next Sunday.
