Ronny Harun was the only Malaysia player named in the AFF Best XI at the 2017 AFF Football Awards held in Bali, Indonesia on Saturday.

Despite the Harimau Malaya's group stage exit from the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup, the 33-year-old Sarawak defender was deemed to have played well to warrant a spot in the team dominated mostly by Thailand and Indonesia players.

Match official Yusri Muhamad picked up another honour for Malaysia as he scooped the Assistant Referee of the Year (Men) award.

However, the night was all about Thailand as they won most of the awards including in the Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and Team of the Year categories.
