Paris Saint-Germain cruised into the Champions League round of 16 after beating Brest 7-0 at home in the second leg of their play-off knockout tie.

That victory meant that the aggregate score clocked in at 10-0 over the course of both legs for a victory that was never in doubt.

PSG's 3-0 victory in the away leg last week meant that both teams started slowly, with Brest cautious of being too open and the hosts knowing that they did not need to provide the attacking impetus.

Bradley Barcola did eventually get the scoring going after 20 minutes, before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia netted his first Champions League goal for the club with a tidy finish from a tight angle.

Vitinha added a third just before the hour, while Desire Doue then got a fourth five minutes later.

It was five in the 69th minute, with Nuno Mendes getting in on the act this time, before Goncalo Ramos made it six with 14 minutes remaining in the game.

Brest's ordeal was finally done when Senny Mayulu grabbed a seventh 10 minutes after Ramos' goal. PSG will face either Barcelona or Liverpool in the round of 16.

Data debrief: Seven heaven for PSG

PSG are the first team to ever have seven different goalscorers in a Champions League game.

Teenager Mayulu, meanwhile, scored his second goal for the club and first ever in the Champions League.

The aggregate victory means that PSG have now scored 16 goals against Brest in the 2024-25 season, which is a club record against one opponent in a single season.
