Marcus Edwards 'probably worth €30m' amid Man Utd and Tottenham links
Marcus Edwards has been linked with Tottenham and Manchester United and his Vitoria SC coach Ivo Vieira reckons he would cost them €30million.
Attacking midfielder Edwards came through the Spurs academy but made just one first-team appearance and left the club last year following loan spells at Norwich City and Excelsior.
The 21-year-old has scored seven goals and set up five more for Vitoria in the Primeira Liga this season, while he also found the net against Arsenal in the Europa League last October.
A Premier League return is reportedly on the cards for Edwards after Vitoria failed to secure European qualification for 2020-21, but Vieira insisted he will not come cheap.
He said: "We have managed to improve the value of a lot of players. Marcus Edwards is a player who is probably worth 30million [euros] today.
"We have already promoted one [Edmond Tapsoba] that provided 18million to the club [by moving to Bayer Leverkusen in January]. We increased the value of others who did not even play for Vitoria last season.
"It does not comfort me, not does it justify not having achieved fifth place [in the Primeira Liga], but we have to be balanced.
"Frustration is for people who do not have emotional balance. We have to live with that and be aware that we have not achieved the main objective."
