The Asian qualifiers were initially supposed to resume this month but due to travel and quarantine restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the matches were postponed to May and June.

At the time of writing, the Harimau Malaya are scheduled to meet the host nation on June 3, followed by Vietnam on June 7 and Thailand on June 15.

Tan Cheng Hoe's side, whose last competitive action was a win against Indonesia in November 2019, are currently sitting second in Group G behind Vietnam.
