Perak and Felda United won big against Pahang and PKNP respectively in the second leg of the 2017 Malaysia Cup quarter-finals on Sunday to seal their spots in the semi-finals.
After losing 3-1 in Kuantan a week ago, Gilmar da Silva began the Bos Gaurus' comeback in Ipoh with a third-minute strike and drew level on aggregate with a header from a free-kick situation an hour later.
Kenny Pallraj then gave the home side the lead in the 77th minute before Nazrin Nawi sealed the win with an injury-time goal to help Perak reach the semi-finals for the first time in 10 years.
Felda, who were behind 3-1 on aggregate too, were seemingly all but out when Kim Hyun-woo scored for PKNP in the eighth minute.
However, three late first-half goals in an eight-minute blitz from Wan Zack Haikal Wan Noor (two) and Ifedayo Olusegun drew them level, before Zah Rahan Krangar put the Fighters ahead in the 47th ahead to complete the comeback.
As for Melaka United and Selangor, down 4-1 and 3-2 respectively, there were no such comebacks as Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and defending champions Kedah progressed at their expenses.
At the Larkin Stadium, it finished 1-1 as the Southern Tigers took the lead through Nazmi Faiz Mansor and Felipe Almeida de Souza netted a consolation from the penalty spot for the visitors, while in Alor Setar, Sandro da Silva's 30th minute penalty was enough to see off Selangor 1-0.
The first leg of the semi-finals, which will be played on October 13 and 14, will see Perak face JDT and Kedah take on Felda.
The second leg will take place on October 20 and 21.
