A-League: Le Fondre on target as leaders Sydney win again
Adam le Fondre pulled clear at the top of the A-League scoring charts with his 14th goal of the season in a dominant 3-0 Sydney FC win at Melbourne Victory.
Le Fondre, previously tied with Jamie Maclaren on 13, applied a close-range finish shortly before the half-hour mark to open the scoring and tee up a simple Sydney victory.
The league leaders are now 11 points clear having added to their advantage in the second half.

Kosta Barbarouses, Le Fondre's strike partner, doubled Sydney's lead, before Alexander Baumjohann made it 3-0 with his first goal for the club.
However, both sides ended with 10 men, as Leigh Broxham, already on a booking, brought down Baumjohann, who lashed out and was shown a straight red card.

Earlier in the day, Wellington Phoenix edged past basement side Newcastle Jets 2-1 at Sky Stadium.
Newcastle peppered the home goal with 28 attempts but could find no way through before substitute Jaushua Sotirio netted for Phoenix with his first touch after 53 minutes.
A Jets goal finally arrived 13 minutes later through Abdiel Arroyo, yet Wellington's response was swift, Ulises Davila - the creator of the opener - striking to clinch the points.
