Check out these 10 must-watch sporting events of the week: (coverage is subject to change)

DFB-Pokal: Hertha Berlin vs Bayern Munich

Schedule: Thursday, February 7 @ 3:45am
Channel: Astro Supersport 2
Niko Kovac’s team head to Berlin for the German Cup third round, but the Olympiastadion hasn't been a good ground for Bayern in recent years, where they have lost in the 2018 German Cup final to Eintracht Frankfurt and fallen to their first Bundesliga defeat of the season at the hands of Hertha Berlin. They also haven’t won there since the 2015-16 season. Can they break the curse and progress to the fourth round?

BPL: Everton vs Manchester City

Schedule: Thursday, February 7 @ 3:45am
Channel: Astro Supersport 3
The match, which has been brought forward due to Manchester City reaching the Carabao Cup final, could potentially be the make-or-break game for the defending Premier League champions. Playing one more match than Liverpool, a win will surely put pressure on the league leaders, but a defeat will provide an opportunity for Jurgen Klopp’s side to widen the gap at the top.

NBA: Boston Celtics vs Los Angeles Lakers

Schedule: Friday, February 8 @ 9:00am
Channel: Astro Supersport 4
The long-time rivals finally square off for the first time this season as the Lakers head to The Garden, where they have had a 5-3 record since the 2010-11 season. Eyes should be on former Celtics star and current Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo, who is one of the few players to turn out for both teams in their careers, and it should also be interesting to observe a battle between former Cleveland Cavaliers team-mates Kyrie Irving and LeBron James.

Six Nations Championship: Scotland vs Ireland

Schedule: Saturday, February 9 @ 10:15pm
Channel: Astro Supersport 2
Ireland’s Six Nations title defence has suffered an early blow after losing to England in their first match. To put it into perspective, since the inception of the six-team format in 2000, only France (2006) and Wales (2013) went on to lift the Championship Trophy after losing in the opening round. The Men in Green have a chance to make amends this weekend as they travel to the Murrayfield Stadium to face Scotland, whom they beat 28-8 last year.

Serie A: Fiorentina vs Napoli

Schedule: Sunday, February 10 @ 1:00am
Channel: Fox Sports 2
The only Serie A match involving two top 10 sides this week, second-placed Napoli travel to the Artemio Franchi Stadium to take on ninth-placed Fiorentina. With Juventus finally showing a chink in their armour after drawing 3-3 and losing 3-0 in last two matches, Carlo Ancelotti's side are surely gunning for victory to potentially reduce the current nine-point gap.

Bundesliga: Bayern Munich vs Schalke 04

Schedule: Sunday, February 10 @ 1:30am
Channel: Fox Sports
Although this upcoming match-up does not enjoy the same level of Ruhr neighbours Borussia Dortmund's rivalry with Bayern, it remains a fiery affair especially with ex-Schalke stars Manuel Neuer and Leon Goretzka linking up with the Bundesliga champions in recent years. The former is unlikely to feature against his former club due to a hand injury, but Goretzka should start in the centre of the pitch at the Allianz Arena.

UFC 234: Whittaker vs Gastelum

Schedule: Sunday, February 10 @ 11:00am
Channel: Fox Sports
The UFC Middleweight Championship belt is on the line in Melbourne, Australia, as current champion Robert Whittaker welcomes the challenge of Kelvin Gastelum. Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva is also scheduled to make his first UFC appearance in over a year to face Israel Adesanya, who has had a perfect 15-0 record since making his MMA debut in 2012.

FIH Men’s Pro League: Australia vs Germany

Schedule: Sunday, February 10 @ 12:00pm
Channel: Astro Supersport 2
World no. 2 Australia haven’t found their footing yet in the inaugural edition of the men’s hockey championship after losing on penalties to the Netherlands and getting thrashed by Belgium in their first two matches. They have a chance to turn their fortunes around against Germany, whom they beat 3-0 the last time they met in the semi-finals of the 2016-17 Men's Hockey World League Final.

ATP 250 Series: Sofia Open Finals

Schedule: Sunday, February 10 @ 11:00pm
Channel: Astro Supersport
Following the highs and lows of the Australian Open (as well as the Davis Cup qualifying round), regular tennis action resumes with ATP 250 tournaments in Bulgaria, Argentina and France. Our attention is on the Sofia Open, featuring six top-30 male players in the world including Stefanos Tsitsipas and Roberto Bautista Agut, who knocked out two of the 'Big Four' at the Australian Open.

BPL: Manchester City vs Chelsea

Schedule: Monday, February 11 @ 12:00am
Channel: Astro Supersport 3
Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City players most probably have been keeping an eye on this fixture for some time following a 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge earlier this season. That result not only handed City their first league defeat of the season but also dethroned them from the top of the table as Liverpool usurped the position with a 4-0 win over Bournemouth, and have remained there since. With Chelsea still looking unconvincing despite a 5-0 win over Huddersfield, City should be relishing the opportunity for payback.
