N'Golo Kante was forced off with an apparent back injury during Chelsea's clash with Burnley on Monday, making him a doubt for a crucial period in the Premier League and Europa League.

The France international scored his fifth goal of the season in the opening period but was replaced by Mateo Kovacic at half-time.

He joined Callum Hudson-Odoi – who was seemingly suffering from a shin injury – in being withdrawn, potentially dealing Maurizio Sarri a significant blow.

Chelsea's next game is away to top-four rivals Manchester United on Sunday, while they travel to Germany for the first leg of their Europa League semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt on May 2.
