Andoni Iraola claimed Bournemouth's 2-0 win over Leicester City proved they have become a more well-rounded Premier League team.

Bournemouth won their final Premier League game of the season for the first time since 2019-20, when they beat Everton 3-1 away from home.

Antoine Semenyo scored his 10th and 11th Premier League goals of the season to inspire the victory, meaning three Cherries forwards have hit double figures in the league, with Evanilson (10) and Justin Kluivert (12) also doing so.

Dominic Solanke was the only player to reach 10 or more last season and Iraola is pleased with the variety his squad has shown as they sealed a ninth-place finish.

He said: "Antoine Semenyo scored, Evanilson scored, Justin scored, Dango scored above 10 or around 10 goals.

"It has been different from past seasons, where Dom Solanke was the main reference.

"This season, we scored more goals, but they have been between more players.

"I'm really happy with not only with Antoine, but with everyone, because I felt like we've been offensively dangerous most of the season."

Meanwhile, it has not been such a happy campaign for Leicester, who finished highest of the three relegated teams but still finished 13 points behind 17th-placed Tottenham.

Leicester lost 25 Premier League games this season (W6 D7). They have never lost more in a single league campaign in their history (also 25 in 1994-95 and 1977-78).

Ruud van Nistelrooy's future at the King Power Stadium is very uncertain, and the Foxes boss claimed he does not know what the next steps are.

He said: "I still have to wait at least to have a conversation on a future together or not. Before that, you cannot start planning.

"It's about seeing if there’s an alignment, and seeing if there’s any possibility of moving forward or not. From there on, I can make comments. Before then, I can't.

"We all go away, including myself. Rest, evaluate, make observations on the season, and wait and see what happens."
