Malaysia head coach Tan Cheng Hoe has called up 28 players for the national team's centralised training camp ahead of the 2020 AFF Suzuki Cup.

Four foreign-based players, namely Midtjylland defender Dion Cools, Chonburi star Junior Eldstal, Police Tero's Dominic Tan and Kortrijk forward Luqman Hakim Shamsudin, are notable inclusions as Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) dominate the list with seven players, followed by Kedah Darul Aman (KDA) and Selangor with four each.

Meanwhile, PJ City goalkeeper Kalamullah Al-Hafiz, KDA defender Rodney Celvin Akwensivie and Terengganu winger Hakimi Abdullah are on the standby list.

The players are expected to begin reporting for international duty on November 22.

Only 24 players would depart for Singapore, where Group B matches take place, on December 3.

The Harimau Malaya, who finished as runners-up in the previous edition, open their 2020 AFF Suzuki Cup campaign against Cambodia (December 6).

They then take on Laos (December 9), Vietnam (December 12) and Indonesia (December 19).
