In-form Cruzeiro made it two wins from two matches in the Copa Libertadores after edging Deportivo Lara 2-0.

Rodriguinho's seventh-minute opener and Jadson's last-gasp strike saw Cruzeiro account for Venezuelan visitors Deportivo Lara in Group B on Wednesday.

Cruzeiro opened their Libertadores campaign with victory away to Huracan earlier in March and the Brazilian side preserved their 100 per cent record thanks to Rodriguinho and substitute Jadson midweek.

Former Brazil international Fred flicked a ball through for Rodriguinho, who outmuscled his opponent and coolly side-footed past Carlos Salazar.

Jadson came off the bench to seal victory with a curled effort in the 95th minute as Cruzeiro extended their winning streak to six games in all competitions, while they are undefeated in 15.
