Rodriguinho's first-half strike gave Cruzeiro a 1-0 victory over Huracan in their Copa Libertadores opener.

Cruzeiro braved the rain away from home in Buenos Aires, where the Brazilian visitors prevailed thanks to Rodriguinho's goal in the 30th minute on Thursday.

Rodriguinho managed to bring the ball under control in wet conditions before bundling a shot past Huracan goalkeeper Antony Silva.

The other Group B fixture between Deportivo Lara and Emelec did not go ahead due to a power outage in Venezuela.

The blackout at the Estadio Metropolitano de Cabudare forced the clash to be rescheduled for 15:00 local time on Friday.

The match has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 3 PM local time.
