The Bukit Jalil National Stadium is all but confirmed to be the venue for the 2018 Malaysian FA Cup Final on July 7.
According to Azman Fahmi Osman, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Stadium Corporation, the discussion with the Malaysian Football League (MFL) already reached the final phase and a contract would soon be signed.
"We have been waiting for this moment especially for football fans who have yet to visit the new-looking national stadium," he told Astro Arena.
"I hope to enjoy a different experience compared to three years ago or other stadiums that have hosted cup finals."
It would be the first time the national stadium, which recently received a Stadium of the Year award, would host a domestic cup final since the 2015 FA Cup final, which saw LionsXII beat Kelantan 3-1.
The past two FA Cup finals were held at the Shah Alam Stadium.
The two finalists of the 2018 edition would be confirmed this weekend, with Selangor taking on PKNS and Pahang visiting PKNP for their second-leg encounters.
Selangor secured a 4-0 lead in the first leg with PKNS last Saturday, while Pahang drew 1-1 with PKNP.
