Josh Brownhill scored the winner as Burnley came from behind to beat Norwich City 2-1 and move up to third in the Championship table.

Scott Parker's side are now unbeaten in their last eight league matches, and have lost just one of their last 11 second-tier meetings with the Canaries (won six, drawn three).

Having arrived at Carrow Road with an excellent defensive record, conceding just seven times this season, the Clarets found themselves behind with just two minutes gone.

Marcelino Nunez's corner was met by the head of Jose Cordoba, with his effort glancing beyond the outstretched dive of James Trafford at his far post.

Burnley almost found themselves two goals down moments later, but Trafford was on hand to prevent CJ Egan-Riley's wayward backpass from ending up in his own net.

But the visitors improved after the break, restoring parity in the 68th minute through substitute Zian Flemming's thunderous strike following a quick free-kick.

Parker's men were perhaps fortunate to leave East Anglia with a win, having registered an expected goals (xG) total of just 0.46 from their 10 shots compared to Norwich's 0.86.

In the other Championship game on Sunday, Vakoun Bayo scored either side of half-time to earn Watford a 2-1 victory over draw specialists West Brom at Vicarage Road.

The Hornets' victory extended their unbeaten record on home soil to 14 matches (won nine, drawn five), moving them up to seventh in the table and outside the play-off places on goal difference.

Bayo headed Watford into a 35th minute lead, steering Rocco Vata's teasing delivery into the box beyond Alex Palmer.

The pair combined again after the break to double the hosts' advantage, with Bayo taking down Vata's looped ball on his chest before firing a low strike home.

Jayson Molumby pulled one back from close range to revive Albion's hopes but, despite forcing a wave of corners during the closing stages, they could not find an equaliser.
