DFB-Pokal holders Bayern Munich have been drawn against Holstein Kiel in the second round of the competition, while Borussia Dortmund will take on Eintracht Braunschweig.

Bayern have lifted Germany's top domestic cup in back-to-back campaigns and beat Duren in round one thanks to Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting's debut double.

Hansi Flick's side now face a trip to Holstein, who are fifth in 2.Bundesliga and are seeking a first promotion to the top tier in their history.

Fellow big boys Dortmund will also take on second-tier opposition in the form of Braunschweig, who knocked out Hertha Berlin 5-4 in a thrilling first-round fixture.

Arguably the tie of the round is the all-Bundesliga affair between Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt.

The ties will take place in the week commencing December 21.
