After losing Endrick Dos Santos, Malaysia could now be without another important player ahead of their Group B match against the Philippines in Cheras this Saturday.
Defender Jimmy Raymond suffered an ankle injury during last week’s match against Thailand, raising concerns in the national team camp and leaving coach Tan Cheng Hoe with fewer defensive options.
The Kuching City player was forced off in the 57th minute and was replaced by Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) II defender Alif Ahmad.
Astro Arena journalist Zulhelmi Zainal Azam also reported on Nadi Arena that Jimmy could miss the rest of the tournament because of the injury.
A local news outlet also shared a video showing Jimmy leaving Rajamangala Stadium with help from his teammates.
So far, there has been no official confirmation about his injury or whether he will miss the rest of the tournament.
