Bet you didn’t know MPKB BRI-Ubes FC hold a peculiar record in the football world…
The official full name of the Kelantan club is Majlis Perbandaran Kota Bharu-Bandar Raya Islam Urusetia Belia dan Sukan Negeri Kelantan Football Club, which has a whopping 89 characters.
It is certainly the longest name in Malaysia by far, beating Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (FELCRA) Football Club (62) and Malaysia Indian Sports Council-Malaysia Indian Football Association (MISC-MIFA) (61).
However, it is only the second longest name in the world, as the first place goes to CPD Llanfairpwll FC, whose full name is *takes a deep breath* Clwb Pel Droed Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch Football Club. The Welsh Alliance League club’s total number of characters stands at 90.
